As if we didn't know that already, here comes an article about all the health risks of over-wearing stilettos and the horrible via dolorosas a woman will need to go in order to fix these.

I've always been an advocate for comfort shoes - as long as they also look cool, that is.

Fortunately, there are so many lovely flats (i.e.: just look at all the ballerina shoes I've got!) and sassy kitten heels. Nothing feels better to me than wearing a comfortable shoes all day and knowing they also look sexy.

Think twice before you wear a stiletto. Especially if you are walking or standing a lot. You may not be able to show off your sexy toes and feet forever if you overdo it.

OK, lecturing time is over. But really, we were born with such beautiful feet, I know I wouldn't want to give up on them!

Tractor Helmet Shoes and Other Freakish Trends

These disgusting stilettos are apparently going to make an appearance on ELLE this August, according to my unsolicited sources. While the entire photo spread makes an excellent eye candy, and while I do like the use of shiny materials in shoes (just notice how many patent leather detailed shoes I have in my collection will reveal I do have a soft spot for glossy leather).
Design wise, the particular pair above seems to be taking inspiration from both tractor tires and protective gear for those among us who do a lot of roller-blading in primary colours. The whole closure apparatus seems to be suggesting this.
Could it be a metaphor for the childish nature of shoe-holics? Or is it possible that it is just an exercise in pushing the boundaries of ugliness while giving up completely on practicality?
I know I wouldn't be getting these. Or looking for them. A photo is just enough for me.

The ones below, on the other hand, seem to be classy while using some unusual design details, and, again, primary colours. I would have actually tried them on if I've seen them in shoe shop. Their texture and flow is inviting and intriguing enough to spark one's imagination.

Pinky's Escape

Yellow strapy sandals, can't remember the brand and will have to go back and check into that. They were pretty, yes. They were even sorta comfy or at least more wearable than many other stilettos I've tried recently. However, the pinky-toe seemed to be escaping from the strap in a way that looked appealing while feeling like loosing a toe any minute. Quite a peculiar feeling, I tell ya!

What say you about the escaping pinky tow? Boo-hiss or sassy bliss?

Obsessing over rmy new Diesel retro stilettos. These are called "Fame" and I couldn't for the life of me find any images or mention of them anywhere online. Diesel must have been keeping them as a secret for some reason... Also, I've only seen them in one brick&mortar store only: GIA.

There are completely useless walk-wise. They may be either worn to bed, or as I said earlier, worn on those occasions when you are either chauffeured around town, or, better yet, need the assistance of a wheelchair and happened to be able, at the same time, be able to display your sexy legs.

At their original price, $225, I wouldn't have bothered to purchase them (unless I hired that chauffeurs first). But marked down to as low as $70, this all made perfect sense. Even if this photo shoot is the last time I'm ever going to wear them.
Plus, did I mention they make a fantastic centre piece for a home art show?

On another, more accessorial note, I've spotted the above clutch at Spring shoe store. Made of bamboo "straw" and imitation red patent leather. Nice little closure detail. These would go well with the abovementioned stilettos both clour and texture wise, yet without looking too matched up.

My Pink Flower Socks

What can I say? I just lurve these socks! Transparent pink with the large floral motif, they are just made for me. The shoes are surprisingly comfortable despite the stiletto heel, and they have a pink flower to match!
These just lift up my mood, which happened to be rather peachy today anyways. And they were fun walking in on my evening stroll around town.
