Letting go of an ugly shoe is a lot more difficult than letting go of someone you really love. There is no comparison, really. Except for the letting go thing. But just as you are not quite convinced that I walked all the way home with one shoe, you shouldn't be convinced too easily that I've let go of someone I still love and just hop around happily all by myself or start investing in a new pair of shoes that I don't even know if I like yet...

Leggings: Brown with lacy finish, from Mintage
Socks: Seamless nude footlets (AKA peds) from Secret
Tunic: brown with semi-floral white pattern, by Salt and Pepper (you can't see it in the picture but you can find more photos on Flickr) - got it at True Value Vintage
These really look better with a skirt and leggings, but the tunic is much better with a wide belt on...
Shoes: Brown V-Strap Sneakers by Sketchers
I love the look of these shoes. The design, however, is far from being flawless: the sole design is so lacking arch support that your arch pratcically sinks to the ground. This never happened to me with any other shoes :( This I could have forgiven if only the straps prove to be more reliable. But they're not: the scotch closure is so narrow that it looses its functionality very fast. I almost gave up on these, but I like how they look too much for letting them go, yet...

Perfect Summer Footlets

It's not summer yet, but it's hot enough where I am to think about summer. These little seamless footlets are so perfect they have become a summer staple. They are so unnoticeable, and that's what makes them so special. You can't see them, you can't feel them, and they do what a sock needs to do - add that little extra comfort between skin and leather.

These particular ones are the Footcovers from Secret, but I've seen other brands making them equally well. I just didn't happen to have the original package handy...
