Triple Buckled Mary Janes

Triple Buckled Mary Janes, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

Cheesily made (the quality is poor, I tell you! In two pairs I tried one of the buckles was falling apart...) by B2 (a line of Brown's), these Mary Janes are nothing speical, except that they have three buckles instead of the traditional one set of buckles. Neverthelss, this is all that was needed to squeeze $100 out of my pocket in a time when I sworn to make no footwear purchases.
The buckle trio, albeit the pure white colour, makes for a rather funky, no, wait! - kinky look, but without raising the least suspicion from passers by. The pin-striped plaid socks increase the classy illusion and somehow it all makes sense...

Holey Socks!

Holey Socks!, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

Haven't worn my flower-holed knee highs in a while. With the weather cooling off today for September 1st, it was just the right time for that! I worn these outdoors with my red Naot Mary Janes (a nice way to turn this quite conservatively shaped shoe into a more kinky/funky look), and indoors as tabi socks for my indoor Asian inspired thongs.

P.s. In the background is this really cool copper lantern that I got from a friend, it has a red glass "bulb" to protect the candle light... Haven't really had a good spot for that one, it's just rolling around my house homeless. I'm so terrible when it comes to interior decoration initiatives. Takes me ages to put up a picture - even a favourite one! Quite pathetic, really, considering that I know how to do it... This p.s. is longer than the rest of the message, which is even worse LOL!

Ribbed Nylons

Ribbed Nylons 02, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

These are my my favourite socks ever. The ribbed soles make for a perfect snuggly sensation when walking or resting. The help my feet to get a grip on slippery steep stillettos. But the best part is how sleek they look and how smooth they feel on the skin. I love this photo, and if it wasn't for the little woodchip (?) that I am not sure was even there when the photo was taken, it would be a perfect portrait of these socks. Almost.

Humongous Soccer Socks

Soccer Socks Black 02, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

These super-long soccer socks are just about as long as the winter this year. Unlike the winter - they are keeping my legs warm... Thigh-hugging, tall and cozy, these make even the shortest skirts or shorts wearable in the midst of winter.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they bulge at the back of my knees after walking with them for a while... But occasional adjustments can fix that, while also getting some positive attention from passers-by if done with style...

These are from American Apparel and are made mostly of polyester with some nylon and spandex to keep them flexible. If they weren't so long, they would have been those really tacky sports socks which I hate (you know, the ones that slide off your feet into your boots and just stuff themselves onto your toes!). But these ones are really cool!
