Silver Space

In my last round of documented window-shoe-shopping at The Bay, I stubled upon this comfy pair of silver ballerina flats.
I can't for the life of me remember the brand, but somehow, despite the admitted ugliness of the cushioned-diamondy look, I really liked these.
Especially how cute they looked with my cropped woolen pants and the diamondy patterned nylons (I keep forgetting the proper name for this pattern, shame on me!). They weren't expensive either, and if it wasn't for me promising myself that the only shoes I'm getting this month are REAL dancing shoes (no, ballerina flats don't count as dancing shoes!) - I would have found myselt at the till in a blink of an eye. These would be my first silver shoes ever. Not to mentioned the ugly cushioned diamonds.

Point Blank

It has been ages since I last posted. At least it seems that way. But it also has been a while since I actually saw a shoe that I felt like trying on. Perhaps I am too busy, or perhaps my energy was spent more on new obsessions: dancing, more dancing, and in between pilates to keep my posture at top shape...
True, I have hardly spent any time trying shoes on recently, for quite some time. In fact, if I didn't look at my blog I would have no idea what I last blogged about!
I tried some shoes that I liked but I managed to keep my wallet out of trouble, which is quite remarkable for a shoe addict such as myself. I've even managed to stay away from stuffing my sock drawer further.
But I am sure this fad will pass and I will be back to my usual self again. And to prove it, I'm bringing to you a pic of the latest pair of shoes that I've managed to get myself interested into even though I don't *need* another pair of shoes. Aside from dancing shoes, of course, which I need desperately (but no one seems to bother carrying my size - 7.5).
I think what keeps my mind on these shoes is their white colour (even though Browns website calls them beige! What are they thinking?!)
I haven't tried them on yet, so I don't really know if I'm going to get them or not...

Flower Pedicure

Flower Pedicure, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

One way of getting (temporarily) over a heart-ache is getting a pretty pedicure and wearing flip flops like everybody else (even though it's too cold for flip flops if you ask me!).

This is particularly effective when the cause for the broken heart is a stubborn X-boyf who happens to be a sock fetishist. By doing so, I am making a statement - instead of weeping over this, I am going to take get my nails all pretty.
While the good feeling about it lasts only a few mintues, the pedicure lasts a few good weeks and gets gazes from both sexes whenever they
This way, my feet look pretty (anywyas, prettier than they looked before!), but he won't notice because all he cares about is socked feet. At least he won't be blaming me for trying to seduce him by wearing socks LOL!

Guess Pointy Stilettos

Guess Pointy Stilettos, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

They make my feet look like they belong to a mafia lady. All I'm missing is a puffed sprayed hair do and thick gold chains everywhere. Not for me!

My Magic Carpet!

My Magic Carpet!, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

I was totally regressing at my shrink's office today, as I found something new about myself: I can fly a magic carpet!

A perfect afternoon was spent afterwards, window shopping at The Bay with some hideous Guess stilettos and other discoveries (not all I was able to capture well on my camera, so I will have to come back there).
more later...

Shoes: Tardy by Fluevog (fromt he 11th Hour collection) - made of the most fantastic patent leather & suede combination. Shiny and sassy and surprisingly soft and comfortable too.

Socks: Diamond-patterned nylons that I'm totally digging this fall. They go well with the diamond pattern of the shoes themselves...

Holey Socks!

Holey Socks!, originally uploaded by Theresa Di Moan.

Haven't worn my flower-holed knee highs in a while. With the weather cooling off today for September 1st, it was just the right time for that! I worn these outdoors with my red Naot Mary Janes (a nice way to turn this quite conservatively shaped shoe into a more kinky/funky look), and indoors as tabi socks for my indoor Asian inspired thongs.

P.s. In the background is this really cool copper lantern that I got from a friend, it has a red glass "bulb" to protect the candle light... Haven't really had a good spot for that one, it's just rolling around my house homeless. I'm so terrible when it comes to interior decoration initiatives. Takes me ages to put up a picture - even a favourite one! Quite pathetic, really, considering that I know how to do it... This p.s. is longer than the rest of the message, which is even worse LOL!
